Beale to lead animal hospitals group; Marin to helm pharmacy managers group; more departures and arrivals

Beale to helm animal hospitals group

Brady Beale has been named chief executive officer of the $12M-revenue American Animal Hospital Association, effective April 1. She will succeed Guylaine Charette, who has served as interim CEO since July 2025 following the departure of Garth Jordan.

“Dr. Beale is joining us at a pivotal moment, and her unique blend of clinical expertise and operational leadership is exactly what AAHA needs to build on our momentum,” said AAHA Board Chair Parva Bezrutczyk.

Beale currently serves as associate dean of clinical enterprise at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s Matthew J. Ryan Hospital, where she also holds the roles of hospital director and chief medical officer. She joined Penn Vet in 2015 after working in private practice and was named hospital director and chief medical officer in 2021.

She earned a veterinary medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and completed executive education in business administration and management at the Wharton School.

Marin named leader of pharmacy benefit managers group

David Marin has been named president and CEO of the $54M-revenue Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, effective Jan. 20. He succeeds Juan Carlos “JC” Scott, who left the role in November after seven years at the helm.

“David Marin is the ideal leader for PCMA at a time of significant change in our industry,” said PCMA Board Chair Adam Kautzner. “He is an energetic and results-oriented executive with a sharp perspective on politics, public policy and the health care sector.”

Marin joins PCMA from pharmaceutical manufacturer Viatris, where he served as global head of government affairs, public policy and advocacy. Previously, he was managing principal of the Podesta Group, where he launched the firm’s strategic communications practice and led advocacy work for a range of corporate and association clients. Earlier in his career, he served as GOP staff director of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a law degree from American University Washington College of Law.

Bercich to lead workforce boards group

Andrew “Drew” Bercich has been named chief executive officer of the $3.4M-revenue National Association of Workforce Boards. He was appointed by the organization’s board of directors after serving on the NAWB board for more than a decade, including a term as board chair.

“Andrew’s long-standing commitment to NAWB, combined with his experience across every level of the workforce system, make him uniquely suited to lead the organization forward,” said Al Searles, chair of NAWB’s board of directors.

Bercich is founder and CEO of SummitWorx Solutions and has spent more than 25 years working across the workforce system as an employer partner, consultant and workforce board leader. In addition to his service with NAWB, he has held leadership roles on multiple local workforce development boards and serves on the Colorado Workforce Development Council.

Greenblatt to lead voice teachers group

Melissa Greenblatt has been named executive director of the $2.1M-revenue National Association of Teachers of Singing. She succeeds Allen Henderson, who is retiring after more than 18 years leading the organization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Melissa to NATS,” said NATS President Alexis Davis-Hazell. “As an experienced association executive and a passionate advocate for arts education, she brings the expertise and vision needed to guide NATS into its next chapter.”

Greenblatt most recently served as interim executive director of the National Dance Education Organization, where she oversaw a staff of six and a $1.7 million budget. She previously spent nearly two decades at NDEO, including eight years as managing director and 10 years as director of marketing and membership.

Henderson will continue in an interim capacity during a transition period to support Greenblatt’s onboarding.

Jaehne joins load management group

Cynthia Hunt Jaehne has been named executive director of the $2.3M-revenue Peak Load Management Alliance, effective Feb. 9. She will succeed Rich Philip, who announced plans to retire after leading the organization since 2020.

“Cynthia’s deep expertise in the energy industry, coupled with her people-first leadership style, make her the perfect fit for PLMA’s important next chapter,” said Robin Maslowski, chair of the PLMA Board of Directors.

Jaehne joins PLMA from the Smart Electric Power Alliance, where she most recently served as senior director of programs and events. She previously held several leadership roles at the organization, including director of engagement and senior program manager.

Philip will continue to support PLMA as executive advisor until his June 15 retirement.

Consumer Bankers Association  $20M-revenue CBA announced several promotions to its leadership team.

Jake Letterie has been promoted to assistant vice president and government relations director. He has been with the association for more than three years and previously served as government relations manager.

Kevin O’Connor has been promoted to executive vice president of membership and sponsorship. He has been with the association for more than nine years and most recently served as senior vice president of membership and sponsorship.

David Pommerehn has been promoted to executive vice president, general counsel and head of regulatory affairs. He has been with the association for more than 17 years and previously served as senior vice president, general counsel and head of regulatory affairs.

Motion Picture Association — Andrew Elliott has joined $83M-revenue MPA as vice president and content policy counsel. He most recently served as an associate attorney at Jenner & Block, where he litigated intellectual property and First Amendment matters for media and entertainment clients.

National Electrical Manufacturers Association Bridget Bartol has joined $26M-revenue NEMA as executive director of grid sector industry and regulatory affairs. She previously served as deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to the secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy and earlier was a vice president at public affairs firm SKDK.

Pharmaceutical Care Management Association Brendan Buck has been named chief communications officer at $54M-revenue PCMA, effective Jan. 20. He most recently was a partner at public affairs firm Seven Letter and previously served in senior communications roles for two speakers of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Securities Industry and Financial Markets AssociationTodd Klessman has joined $62M-revenue SIFA as managing director of financial services cyber and technology. He most recently led the Cyber Incident Reporting for Critical Infrastructure Act rulemaking effort at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
